- Heart disease causes 1 in 4 male deaths
- Heart disease symptoms are not always the same in men and women
Heart disease is the leading cause of men’s death in the United States. Symptoms of heart disease in men and women can vary.
Men may experience fluttering in the chest, chest pain or discomfort, shortness of breath, fatigue and ankle swelling while women may experience neck, jaw, throat, upper abdomen or back pain, chest discomfort, nausea and vomiting and excessive tiredness.
